Founded in 1997, Studio Hugo Grenville has grown from strength to strength, attracting a wide range of students, many of whom return each year. The success of last year's 'Seeing Things Differently' course, which explored the ways in which we can ally our imagination to our art, has encouraged us to introduce a new drawing course to further investigate the language of self expression.
The courses are aimed at painters of all levels and abilities. Each course is designed for different stages of experience, knowledge and understanding. They can be taken individually or in groups, but when taken together, they lay the path for a continuous journey into the world of painting. |

All the courses have been designed by Hugo Grenville and Lisa Freeman. Hugo is highly regarded by his students, many of whom believe him to be one of the best teachers in the country. His inspirational teaching is embellished by his knowledge, both of the historical context of painting, and of the rigorous mental and physical challenges of being a painter. Passionate, articulate and irreverent, he communicates his great enthusiasm for the subject with a lightness of touch.
Lisa shares with Hugo a great passion for teaching, and the same resolute commitment to help each student, irrespective of their starting point, to make progress on their individual painting journey. Her patience and clear communication skills enable her to be an effective and sensitive critic.
