has transformed it into an idyllic backdrop for his artistic

Six years ago, the Grenvilles
gave up their Victorian house on the edge of a London park and
moved into the Red House in the Waveney Valley. It was the start
of a love affair with the Suffolk landscape, writes Marion Welham

Valley hold a hidden attraction for painters. Both are settings
for country houses whose owners have established two of the
country's most inspiring painting courses.
