Course Information

Duration: 5 days

One thinks of Delacroix and Gauguin, Vuillard and Bonnard, and of course Matisse. And that’s not to forget Velazquez, Manet or Titian! It is one of the greatest subjects in art, expressed eloquently and poignantly in myriad different ways, and we will be examining some of the richest examples of these Masters every day in our morning slide shows.

Working in the old grammar school assembly room, lit by tall north windows, students will be able to draw and paint the model, both nude and clothed, in the context of interior settings.

Each day will begin with a slide show and talk along with tea and coffee. There are many good places to have lunch in Bridport, which is a charming 18thcentury market town, and the sea is just a mile away. The course will run daily 10am – 4.30pm, Friday 10am – 2pm.

You will be sent a detailed materials list after booking.
